Robin Beekman is a contemporary artist who graduated from HKU Utrecht in Image & Media Technology. His artistic research focuses on manipulating human perception and exploring visual phenomena through the combination of various media. His works guide our perception and reveal the relative nature of experiences. Beekman emphasizes temporary events, where light, sound, and movement evolve to create a transient experience.
Parallels by Robin Beekman is a light installation that investigates the transformation of recognizable space. Floating fixtures illuminate specific parts of the Inota construction. As the visitor walks through the space, the ability to assess the space diminishes, and the perception of size and proportions fades. The recognizable vanishes, and a new space is formed.
